Graph showing variation of resistivity with temperature for nichrome and silicon are given below:--

(a) For nichrome if we draw a graph between temperature and resistivity, we have on increasing the temperature the resistivity also increases for nichrome.

This is due to fact on increasing the temperature number of free electrons increases and as nichrome is an alloy made of different metals and on increasing temperature resistivity of metals increases hence resistivity for nichrome increases with increase in temperature.

(b) For silicon on increasing the temperature its resistivity decreases.

This is due to the fact silicon belongs to class of semiconductor thus when temperature is increased in semiconductor, the density of charge carriers also increases as electrons are free to move to conduction band with increase in temperature and so the resistivity decreases for silicon with increase in temperature.

The graph for showing the variation of resistivity with temperature for nichrome and silicon are in the following diagram:--
