WE have to construct two Scalene triangles ABC and ABC’ with the given measure of each side.

Explanation:

So, here we get started by constructing the base side AB = 4 cm.

1. Draw a line segment AB = 4 cm in length and name it.

2. From vertex A, you can use protector to mark a point C at a distance 5 cm.

3. Now mark another point C’ at the same distance but in opposite side of Point C. Name it C’ = 5 cm.

4. Now next you have to join the line segments A and C to form AC and another segment A and C’ to form AC’.

5. Next taking B as vertex, bisect line segment AC at a distance 6 cm. similarly you have to bisect AC’ at the same distance of 6 cm.

6. Join the point B with C to form BC and B with C’ to form BC’.

So you will have two similar triangles ABC and ABC’ with corresponding sides AC’ and BC’.
