The human eye works like this:
The light coming after being reflected by the object enters the eyes through cornea at first and then enters through the small opening of pupil. The iris controls the opening size of the pupil and thus controls the amount of light entering into the eyes. Then the light rays falls on the eye lens or crystalline lens, which is a convex lens and thus it converges the light rays. The converged light rays meet at a point on the retina at the back of the eye to form an image. This image is carried to the brain in the form of electrical signals by the optic nerve and thus we can see an object with the help of our eyes.
