flagella are the primary movement organ in the many organism including euglena. flagella structure is just like a cycle wheel in which there is nine pair of the fibers are arranges in the circular shape from which the a fiber arrise toward center. in the center there is also present a pair of the fiber that is connected to all 9 circulated pairs. pair present at the circle are also connected to each other.

Answer:

A flagellum is a microscopic thread-like structure that enables movement (swimming) in many protozoa, bacteria, spermatozoa, etc.

Explanation:

  • It is basically a motility organelle that helps in movement.
  • There are different categories of flagellum. They are:
  • Monotrichous—contains a single flagellum
  • Peritrichous-contains flagella all around
  • Amphitrichous—contains flagella on both ends.
  • Lophotrichous—contains tufts of many flagella at one end or both ends.
  • Atrichous—without flagella, non-motile
  • These are found in all three categories of the living world: bacteria, archae, and eukaryotes.
  • All these categories use flagella for movement but can be structurally different.
  • Flagella are usually made up of subunits of low-molecular weight protein called flagellin, arranged in a helical manner.
  • The only cell in the human body that has flagella is the sperm.
