Given :  Draw a line 6 centimetres long.

From the left end point, draw an upright line, 3 centimetres high.

From the right end point, draw an upright line, 4 centimetres high.

Join the top ends of these lines.

To find : Draw the Figure

Solution:

Lets draw it in coordinate plane

Take  point A(0,0) and B( 6 , 0)

Join AB

Take point C = (6 , 4)  and point D ( 0 , 3)

Join AD ,

Join BC

Join CD

Required figure is drawn as attached

Without using coordinate plane

Draw  a line segment AB = 6 cm

Using set square draw a line segment AD  = 3 cm perpendicular to AB

Using set square draw a line segment BC  = 4 cm perpendicular to AB

Join CD

a line 7 centimetres long and from each end point, draw upright lines, both 4 centimetres high

Lets draw it in coordinate plane

Take  point A(0,0) and B( 7 , 0)

Join AB

Take point C = (7 , 4)  and point D ( 0 , 7)

Join AD ,

Join BC

Join CD

Rectangle is formed

length of CD = 7 cm

Required figure is drawn as attached

Without using coordinate plane

Draw  a line segment AB =7 cm

Using set square draw a line segment AD  = 7 cm perpendicular to AB

Using set square draw a line segment BC  = 4 cm perpendicular to AB

Join CD
