1. Draw a line segment AB, take a point P above it.

2. Taking P as a centre and a suitable radius, draw an arc which cut the line AB at two points X and Y.

3. Taking X and Y as centre and suitable radius draw two arcs and let them intersect at Z.

4. Join PZ.

5. PZ is the required perpendicular on AB
