1. For any given line segment, two parallel line segment can be drawn to it in the same plane.

2. In the three dimensional space, infinite number of line segments can be drawn.

3. Let us assume that AB is a horizontal line segment (it could actually be at any inclination with the horizontal axis, here for simplicity we are assuming it to be parallel to the horizontal axis).

4. Drawing parallel line segments on either sides, the resulting figure will look as shown below.
