We have to draw a line segment of 10 and have to divide it 3:2 initially.

Steps of Construction :

• Start with drawing a line segment of length 10 cm.
• Now draw rays that are parallel to each other. And name them AQ and BP.
• Now ,mark 5 points (3:2 = 3+2 = 5) on ray AQ and also 5 points on ray BP.
• Now, name the points as $\sf{A_1,A_2,A_3,A_4,A_5}$ in ray AQ.
• And, name the points as $\sf{B_1,B_2,B_3,B_4,B_5}$ in ray BP.
• The points you located should be in equal distances.
• Start joining $\sf{A_5 \ to \ B}$ and join $\sf{B_5 \ to \ A}$.
• Hence, in the attachment you see point C. Thus C divides the line segment into two parts.
