The question asked to draw  a line segment which will be 14.5 cm long

now we have to cut  7.9 cm from the original line segment

original line segment = 14.5 cm

we have to cut = 7.9 cm

∴ the length of remaining part of the original line segment will be

= (14.5 - 7.9 ) cm

= 6.6 cm

Ans :- The length of remaining part of the original line segment will be 6.6 cm
