1)first take a line of 5.5 cm

2)then take a divider then take more then half of the line and make arc on both side

3)put the divider on the first arc then make an arc on the upper side and down side

do this same on second arc.

4)you get some point then draw a line on both the point

just follow the given steps

1)draw a line in equal to 5.5 CM =ab

2) now take the radius more than half of a b and with Centre a draw an Arc .

3) with the same radius and Centre b make an Arc intersecting the previous arc .

4) the point of intersection of the arcs as p

5) now draw the line from P intersecting ab

6) Mark the point of intersection as Q

7)PQ is the required perpendicular bisector of line ab

aliter method

1) Draw a line ab =5.5cm

2) Mark any point Q on it

3) with any radius and centre Q make a semicircle dc on ab

4)with the same radius and centre C draw an arc j

5)again make the arc K with centre j

6) take radius more than jk and make the arc with centres j and K

and let them intersect at m
