The midpoint of line segment AC = 1/4 AB

Step-by-step explanation:

(1) draw a line segment  AB = 13.2 cm

(2)  fix your compass opening to a distance somewhat bigger than 1/2 the length of segment AB

You should open your compass large enough, but make sure that the distance is not more than the length of AB.

(3) Put the needle of your compass at A and draw an arc

(4)Put the needle of your compass at B and draw an arc

(5)The two arcs should meet at points

(6)Draw a line joining the two points where the two arcs intersect

(7) The point of intersection of the line and the segment (c)gives the mid point of line segment AB

(8) repeat the same process to find the mid point of line segment AC

The midpoint of line segment AC = 1/4 AB
