To find: What type of figure is ABCD?

Solution:

As we have given the sides of the figure, lets go step by step for the construction of the quadrilateral.

As said, draw a line segment of the length 6 cm , then draw two perpendicular on both the corners of the line that is A and B. Tend it to 4 cm.

After making perpendiculars join them both from the top.

So after joining we can see that the distance of perpendicular is same

Also the line AB is parallel to line CD

                    so CD = AB = 6 cm

From this we can say that this quadrilateral is a rectangle.
