AB = 8cm and so 3/4 of AB will be (3/4)×8cm = 6cm. Steps of construction:
1. Draw a line segment AB = 8cm.
2.Bisect the line segment AB using compass and name the point as O.
3. Now, bisect the line segment AO using compass and name the point as F.
4. FB is the required line that is 3/4 of AB.

As, OF =1/4 of AB as it is half of AO and OB = 1/2 of AB.

So, FB = OF+OB
1/4+1/2 = 3/4
FB = 3/4 of AB = 6cm

Answer:

draw a line segment ab of 8cm

bisect the line segment ab and name the point o

again bisect the line segment ao and name the point f.

therefore FB is equal to 6 CM

justification

3 by 4 into 8 is equal to 6 CM

about f b is equals to 6 CM
