Draw a line segment AB of length 7 cm and find a point P on it such that
AP: PB = 1:3. Measure AP and PB.​

In a line segment

AP=1x,PB=3x

so, AP+PB=180 (as it is a complementary angle)

= 1x+3x =180

=4x = 180

=x =180/4=45

then the next value of x=45
