Solution :-

Let the length of AP be x.

Then PB will have the value 3x.

Since the total length is 7cm, so we can write

x + 3x = 7

4x = 7

x = 7/4

3x = 21/4

Hence :-

$\boxed{AP=7/4cm}$

$\boxed{PB=21/4cm}$
