a) Keeping the compass point on point A and using a radius little more than half of the segment length make an arc above and below the line segment.

b) keeping the same radius and putting the compass point on point B of the line segment make arcs cutting the old arcs.

c) join both the intersecting points of the arcs ( one above and one below the line segment). This line will be Perpendicular bisector of the line segment AB.
