Steps of construction:

Draw a line segment AB of length 5 cm.

Draw any ray AX such that it makes an acute angle downwards with line AB.

Mark the points A1, A2, ........,A5 such that, A1A2 = A2A3 = A3A4 = A4A5

Join BA5

Through a point A3, draw a line parallel to BA5. To meet AB at P.

Hence AP : PB = 3 : 2

Hence the required construction.
