Let 4k be one part; and

5k be the other part.

$4k + 5k = 8.1 \\ 9k = 8.1 \\ k = 8.1 \div 9 \\ k = 0.9$

Therefore,

One part: 4k = 4 × 0.9 = 3.6cm

Other part : 5k = 5 × 0.9 = 4.5cm
