1.Draw a line segment XY of length 8.5 cm.

2.With the help of compass, from point X , mark arc on segment X Y at a distance of 4.8 cm, such that X Z= 4.8 cm.

3. With the help of divider, measure the length of Y Z. You will find Y Z= 3.7 cm.
