Drawn a perpendicular on a point P lying on the line segment

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1 : Draw a line segment AB  = 8cm using ruler

Step 2 : take a point P 3cm from B on AB

Step 3 : Taking P as center using compass Draw an arc from P such that it intersect AB at M & N

Step 4 : Using compass taking M as center draw an arc

Step 5 : keeping same width of compass as in step 4 & taking N as center draw an arc  such that it intersect arc drawn in step 4 at Q

Step 6 : join PQ and extend

PQ ⊥ AB
