Consider a line segment AB, whose one end A lies in first quadrant and another end B lies in third quadrant.

Suppose ,Coordinates of A=(4,2)

Coordinates of B=(-4,-2)

Mid point formula of line joining two points (a,b) and (p,q) is given by

=[\frac{(a+p)}{2},\frac{(b+q)}{2}]

So mid point of AB using the above rule of analytical geometry is

=[\frac{4+(-4)}{2},\frac{2+(-2)}{2}]=(0,0)

so the mid point will be (0,0)
