Solution- 1> we follow the following steps for constructing the perpendicular bisector of PQ .

Step 1 - draw a line segment PQ = 8.4 CM by using a graduated ruler .

Step -2 - with P centre and radius more than half of PQ draw two arc , one on each side of PQ.

Step -3 - with Q As centre and the same radius as in step 2 draw arcs cutting the arcs drawn in the previous step at l and M respectively .

Step 4 - draw the line segment with L and M as the endpoint .

Solution-2> we follow the following steps of construction ;

  • draw a line segment AB = 6.6CM by using a graduated ruler .
  • with A as centre and radius more than half of AB , draw arcs , one on each side of AB .
  • with B as centre and the same radius as in the step 2 , draw arcs cutting the arcs done in the step 2 and E and F respectively .
  • draw the line segment with E and F as the endpoint suppose it made AB at M , Them , M bisect the line segment of AB .
