Draw a line (Change into Passive Voice).
Let a line be drawn.
Voice of the verb shows whether the Subject of the Verb does something (i.e,acts) or something is done to him (i.e,acted upon).
A Transitive Verb has two voices:
- Active Voice.
- Passive Voice.
When the subject of the verb himself (herself or itself) does something, the verb is said to be in Active Voice.
When the subject of the verb does not act himself, but is acted upon, the verb is said to be in the Passive Voice.
Rules to change Active Voice into Passive Voice:
- i)The Object in the Active Voice becomes Subject in the Passive Voice.
- ii) The Subject in the Active Voice becomes Object in the Passive Voice, and is generally preceded by the preposition 'by.'
- iii)The Principal Verb in the Active Voice changes into Past participle in the the Passive Voice .
