The latitudes  divide the earth into three heat zones.

Explanation:

There are three types of heat zones:-

1. Torrid zone
2. Temperate zone
3. Frigid zone

• Torrid zone -The are near the equator gets direct heat from the sun and so are generally hot and humid .This area lies between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn.It is also known as Tropical zone.
• Temperate zone-They have moderate climate as they receive slanting rays of the sun.It lies between Tropic of Cancer and Arctic circle and Tropic of Capricorn and  Antarctic circle.
• Frigid Zone-They experience extreme cold climate as they  get verry little heat from the sun.They are present at the poles.
