Antibody is Y shaped protein that is helpful in neutralizing the pathogens. It recognizes specific antigen and attaching of antigen specifies the activation or deactivation of macrophage system that whether it is essential to activate the macrophage system and neutralize the pathogens or not. It has different terminals like C and N terminal. The structure of an antibody structure is shown in the following images.

An antibody is made up of a variable region and a constant region, and the region that changes to various structures depending on differences in antigens is called the variable region, and the region that has a constant structure is called the constant region. Antibodies are immune system-related proteins called immunoglobulins. Each antibody consists of four polypeptides which consists of two heavy chains and two light chains joined to form a "Y" shaped molecule.
