 \bold{HUMAN \: EAR}

Human ear consists of three parts :-

◼Outer ear

◼Middle ear

◼Inner ear

 \bold{OUTER \: EAR}

▶Outer ear consists of pinna auditory canal and ear drum at the end of auditory canal.

 \bold{MIDDLE \: EAR}

▶Middle ear consists three bones which together are called ear ossicles , which are :-

✳Hammer

✳Anvil

✳Stirrup

▶It also have an Eustachian tube which connects the middle ear with throat.

▶It have an oval window which leads to inner ear.

▶It also have a round window, covered by a thin membrane which connects to inner ear.

 \bold{INNER \: EAR}

▶Inner ear consists two main parts :-

✳Cochlea

⭐Its a spiral shaped snail shell like structure .It have two and a half turns where each turn have three parallel membrane.

⭐First and second membrane have perilymph.

⭐Second membrane have endolymph , with spiral organs called organ of corti, with a auditory canal to transmit the sound wave to brain.

✳Semi circular canal

⭐They are three semi circles placed at right angle with each other.

⭐The point where these three canal's base unites it called ampulla, which controls dynamic balance.

⭐Further it joins two points utriculus and sacculus which controls are static balance.

 \bold{WORKING}

▶Pinna collects the sound waves and conducts them to auditory canal and then to ear drum , which makes ear drum vibrate.

▶Eustachian tube equalises the pressure on both sides of ear drums so that ear drum can vibrate freely.

▶This vibrating is passed to ear ossciles, when it reaches to stirrup it passes it to oval window.

▶Now, this vibration cis carried out to fluid in cochlea, which makes the vibration to organ of corti which is further proceed to bain by auditoty canal and enables us to hear.
