A pair of tangents of a circle of radius 4 cm such that angle between the tangents is 70 degree

Given,

The radius of the circle = 4 cm

The angle between tangents = 70°

i.e. ∠ APB = 70°

Since the angle at center is double the angle between tangents

So, ∠ AOB = 2 × 70° = 140°

Steps of Construction:

1. Draw a circle of radius 4 cm and mark the center of the circle as "O "

2. Now, take a point A on the circle and join OA.

3. Draw a perpendicular to OA at A.

4. Again draw a radius OB, such that ∠ BOA = 140°.

5. Draw a perpendicular to OB at B.

6. A point where the lines from A and B intersect mark it as P.

Now, PA and PB are the required tangents inclined at angle 70° as shown in the figure.
