Given : a circle of radius 4.5 cm

To Find :  Draw a pair of tangents to a circle of radius 4.5cm which are inclined to each other at an angle 45°

Solution:

Step 1 : Take a Point O

Step 2 : Take compass width = 4.5 cm & taking O as center Draw a Circle

Step 3 : Mark A point on circumference of circle

Step 4 join OA

Step 5 Draw an angle of 135° at O on AO using protractor meeting circumference of circle at B

Step 6 : Draw a right angle at  A on OA using protractor

Step 7 Draw a right  angle at B on  OB using protractor  which meets angle drawn in previous step at P

AP & BP are tangents inclined at 45°
