Step-by-step explanation:

  1. Draw a square of side 5 cm.
  2. Extend the upper side of the square towards right.
  3. By taking 7 cm measure in a compass, cut the upper extended side by drawing arcs with center as either vertices of the base of the square.
  4. Join the points, where the arcs cut the third side extended, with each other. Join them with the corresponding vertices of the base.

Then we get a parallelogram of area 25 cm² and perimeter 24 cm.
