- Extend the upper side of the square towards right.
- By taking 7 cm measure in a compass, cut the upper extended side by drawing arcs with center as either vertices of the base of the square.
- Join the points, where the arcs cut the third side extended, with each other. Join them with the corresponding vertices of the base.
Then we get a parallelogram of area 25 cm² and perimeter 24 cm.
