Following are the answers of the given questions.

Explanation:

  1. The labeled diagram of plant cell is given in the figure.

         (i) Cell wall: it gives the definite shape to the cell.

         (ii) Vacuole: it stores the waste material in plant cells

         (iii) Mitochondria: produce ATP, hence called kitchen of cell

         (iv) Nucleus: is the brain of the cell which stores all the genetic

                               information.

    2. Metals

  • Mercury: the only metal that is liquid and is used in thermometers.
  • Aluminium: used to make utensils and wires.

       Non-metals

  • Chlorine: used to clean water tanks and swimming pools water.
  • Iodine: marked used in body in formation of hormones of thyroid gland.
  • Sodium: major electrolyte of the body used for electrolytic balance.
  • Phosphorus: used in making of matchstick front part as its ignition point is low.

 

    3. Cholera and Typhoid both are water born diseases and thus to prevent them we have take care of:

  • drink clean boiled water
  • cook the food well and keep food covered
  • wash the fruits and salad before consumption with boiled water
  • keep the environment clean
  • follow the hygiene well- wash hands with soap before eating, do not defecate in open etc.
