Given: Triangle PQR, where QR = 3.5 cm, ∠Q = 40° and ∠R = 60°

To find: Steps to draw such a triangle

Solution: Given that,

One side of the triangle (QR) = 3.5 cm

∠Q = 40° and ∠R = 60°

Steps to draw the triangle:

1.) Draw a line segment of length 3.5 cm using the ruler.

2.) Mark the end points of it as Q and R.

3.) Put the center of protractor on Q and mark the location of 40° (starting from the direction of R)

4.) Mark that point as X. Join QX.

5.) Similarly, put the ceter of protractor on R and mark the location of 60° (Starting from direction of P i.e. left to right)

6.) Mark the point as Y. Join PY.

7.) Extend the lined QX and PY till they intersect each other as a point. Mark that point as P.

Hence, the required ΔPQR is obtained using the above steps.

Draw a ΔPQR, in which QR=3.5cm, mQ=40°, mR=60°

Solution:

Steps of construction:

(i) Draw QR=3.5cm

(ii) Draw ∠Q=40°, ∠R=60° which meet each other at P.

(iii) ΔPQR is the required triangle.
