now light incident normally on one of the face so here we have

now angle of incidence on the other face of the prism is 45 degree

so we have

r_2 = 45

now we know that refractive index of prism is

\mu = \sqrt3

now for critical angle of the prism we have

\mu sin\theta_c = 1

sin\theta_c = \frac{1}{\sqrt3}

\theta_c = 35.3 degree

so when light incident on second surface will get reflected on second surface
