for a rectangle just take the breadth as 3cm and length as 4cm so you get 12cm² as area ...

and take the sides of the square as √12cm

then you will get the area of square as 12 cm²

Simply multiply the width by the length to get 12 cm²  of area for a rectangle...

and make the square's sides √12cm long

Then you'll have a square with a surface area of 12 cm².
