Length of Rectangle - 9cm

Breadth of Rectangle - 6 cm

Area of the Rectangle - L × B

= 9×6 = 54 sq.cm.

Three equal parts - 54 ÷ 3

= 18 sq.cm. .....

So, each part will be of 18sq.cm.

Given :  a rectangle of length 9 cm and width 6 cm.

To Find : Divide it into three equal parts and complete the flag.​

Solution:

Step 1 : Draw a line segment   AB of 9 cm

Step 2 :  Draw a right angle at A on AB using protractor/set square

Step 3 : Take a length of 6 cm from A on angle drawn and label it as D

Step 4  :  Draw a right angle at B on AB using protractor/set square

Step 5 : Take a length of 6 cm from B on angle drawn and label it as C

Step 6 : Join CD

Draw a line parallel to AB at a distance of 2 cm from AB  between AB and CD

Draw a line parallel to CD at a distance of 2 cm from CD between AB and CD

Color the top with Saffron

Middle with white

Bottom with green

Draw Ashok chakra in center of middle one
