Answer:

The ratio of the sides is given by 3:4

so we could assume that the ,

shorter as 3x and

longer side as 4x

Perimeter of a rectangle is

Perimeter (P) = 2 × [length (l) + breadth (b)]

P = 2 ( l+ b )

breadth is also called width sometimes.

so

2( 3x + 4x) = 17

2(7x) = 17

14x = 17

x = 17/14

So ,

Shorter side is = 3x

= 3 × 17/14

= 51/14 cm

Longer side is = 4x

= 4 × 17/14

= 34/7

So believe your doubt is cleared have nice day ahead
