Rectangle is a closed polygon of four sides in which opposite side apart from being equal are parallel as well. Its perimeter amounts to two times the sum of its length and breadth. Its area amounts to the product of its length and its breadth. It is a special types of quadrilateral, or more specifically a parallelogram.

1. Draw a line segment of 10 cm.

2. Draw perpendicular on one of its edges. The perpendicular should be as long as 8 cm.

3.Draw another perpendicular on the perpendicular drawn in step 2. This perpendicular should be as long as 10 cm.

4. Now, simply join the two free edges of the lines.

5. There you go! You have made a perfect rectangle.
