Area of Triangle = Area of Rectangle= 58.5

  1. 1st - Find area of Rectangle = Length x Breadth
  • length= 6.5 cm
  • breadth= 4.5 cm
  • Area of Rectangle = 6.5 cm x 4.5 cm

                              = 29.25 cm².

  1. 2nd - Area of Triangle = 1/2 x base x height
  • when u read the question say the area of rectangle and area of triangle both are equal so let's do it.
  • Area of Triangle = Area of Rectangle
  •    1/2 x base x height = 29.25 cm²
  •     base x height = 29.25 cm² x 2
  •     base x height = 58.5 cm².

now suppose base and height are the same numbers is = y

  • Base = Y
  • Height = Y
  • Y x Y = 58.5 cm²
  • Y² = 58.5 cm²
  • Y = √58.5 cm²
  • Y = 7.6 (Approx)

  1. Base = 7.6 (Approx)
  2. Height = 7.6 (Approx)
  • The Triangle base and height is depending on the area of a rectangle who to break it and divide it into base and height. base value increase and height value decrease and also vice verse.
