Step 1 : Extend any one side AB of the square, to P, such that AP = 10cm.

Step2: Take an arbitrary point Q on the line coincident to opposite side DC. ( ie extended line DC)

Step3: Join A& Q . Then Join P&Q.

Triangle APQ so formed is the required triangle.

Justification: area( square ABCD) = AB * BC = 25 cm²

area( tri APQ ) = 1/2 * base * corresponding altitude

= 1/2 * AP * BC
