Given :  Side of regular pentagon is 5 cm

To find : Draw pentagon , and triangle of same area

Solution:

Step 1 : Draw a line segment AB = 5 cm

Step 2 : Draw an angle of 108° at B on AB using protractor

Step 3 : Take a length of 5 cm from B at angle drawn and label it C

Step 4 : Draw an angle of 108° at C on BC using protractor

Step 5 : Take a length of 5 cm from C at angle drawn and label it D

Step 6 : Draw an angle of 108° at D on CD using protractor

Step 7 : Take a length of 5 cm from D at angle drawn and label it E

Step 8 : joinAE

Pentagon ABCDE is construed

Draw angle 54° at A & B using protractor meeting at O

Draw a perpendicular bisector of AB  bisecting AB at M  and passing through O

Using compass take length = OM  and from O take 4 points one by one at equal distance on extended MO   and label last point P

ΔABP is the triangle of same area as pentagon ABCDE
