Draw a right triangle having hypotenuse of length 5.6 cm and with one of the acute angles 30 degree.

You can simply draw a line segment of 5.6 cm and draw two lines of 30° and 60° each from alternate sides of the line and the triangle obtained from the intersection of the two lines is the required triangle, but there's a more beautiful (mathematically) method:

Use the property of semicircles that the angle subtended by the diameter on any point on the arc is a right angle.

1. Draw a line segment BC = 5.6 cm using a ruler.
2. Draw the perpendicular bisector XY of BC intersecting BC at P.
3. With P as center and PB as radius, draw a semicircle using a compass.
4. Construct ZBC = 30° such that Z is a line which intersects the semicircle at A.
5. Join AC.
:: ABC is the required triangle.
