perpendicular (p) = 2.5 cm

let us assume the other side of the triangle is x. Then by pythagoras, we get:-

${h}^{2} = {x}^{2} + {p}^{2}$

${4}^{2} = {x}^{2} + {2.5}^{2}$

$16 = {x}^{2} + 6.25$

$16 - 6.25 = {x}^{2}$

${x}^{2} = 9.75$

$x = \sqrt{9.75}$

$x = 3.1224 \: \: cm$

hence the other side of the triangle is 3.1224 cm.
