The schematic diagram is shown above.

Battery will become of 10V as five cells of 2V are connected in series so voltage of the each cell will be added.

Current flow in  the circuit will be

current (I)=Total resistance(Req)voltage(V)

Req=20Ω+30Ω

⇒current=5010=51=0.2Ω

Current flowing in the circuit is 0.2Ampere.

So the  current flowing in 20Ω resistor will be 0.2 Ampere.

Power consumed by the 30Ω will be

P=I2R

where I is current flowing through the Resistance R=30Ω

power=0.22×30

power=1.2J/sec

Hence the Power consumed by 30Ωresistor will be 1.2J/sec
