The deoxygenated blood is brought from the different parts of the body by the veins which enter the right atrium through the vena cava. This blood passes to the right ventricle which enters the pulmonary artery to supply the blood to the lungs. The blood is oxygenated and then brought back to the heart through the pulmonary vein. The oxygenated blood enters the left atrium through the pulmonary veins. This blood passes into the left ventricle which pumps the blood into the aorta. The aorta supplies the blood to the tissues of the body through arteries.
