First of all, draw a line segment PQ of measure 7.5 cm. Then take a measurement on your compass between 4cm and 7.5cm ( the measure should be more than half the line segment but less than the whole line segment). Next, put the point of your compass on point P and make an arc on the top and bottom. The measurement of the compass should remain same throughout the whole construction. After that, Put the point of the compass on point Q and make an arc on the top and the bottom, such that it should intersect with the previously arc made through point . Now, name the point where the two arcs intersect above the line as A and the point where the arcs intersect below the line as B. Finally, draw a line from A to B.
