Dear Student,

ECG stands for Electrocardiogram.

● Electrocardiogram -

  • Electrocardiogram shows electrical activity of the heart based on electrodes placed on body.
  • Normal ECG consists of following waves - P wave, QRS complex, T wave.

# Interpretation -

  • P wave represents atrial depolarization.
  • PR interval represents transmission of signal from atria to ventricles.
  • QRS complex represents ventricular depolarization.
  • ST segment represents platue phase.
  • T wave represents ventricular repolarization.
