Answer:

Solution. Steps of Construction :

1. Draw a line segment AB = 5 cm.

2. At B make Z ABX = 60°

3. With B as centre and radius equal to 6 cm

draw an arc intersecting BX at C.

4. Join AC. Then ABC is the required triangle.

5. Draw any ray AY making an acute angle with AB on the oppposite side of the vertex C.

6. Locate 7 point

(the great of 5 and 7 in 5/7) A¹,A²,A³,A⁴,A⁵,A⁶ and A⁷ on AY so that AA¹ = A¹ A² = A²A³ = A³A⁴ = A⁴A⁵ = A⁵A⁶ = A⁶A⁷.

7. Join A-B and draw a line through A⁵

(the 5th point, 5 being smaller of 5 and 7 in 5/7)

parallel to A⁷B intersecting AB at B'.

8. Draw a line through B' parallel to the line BC to intersect AC at C.

Then AB'C' is the required triangle.

Answer:

Making the triangle

1) Draw a line segment AB =

5

cm

2) Draw an arc at

6

cm from point A. Draw an arc at

7

cm from point B so that it intersects the previous arc

3) Joint the point of intersection from A and B.

This gives the required triangle ABC.

⇒Dividing the base

4) Draw a ray AX at and acute angle from AB.

5) Plot seven points on AX; so that
