Given : A triangle ABC of base BC = 5.6 cm, <A= 40° and the bisector of ∠A meets BC at D such that CD= 4cm

To Find : Construct Triangle.

Solution:

Step 1 :  Draw a line segment BC = 5.6 cm

Step 2 : Draw an angle , ∠CBE = 40°   using protractor

Step 3 : Draw ∠EBF = 90° using protractor

Step 4 : Draw perpendicular bisector of BC   , which cut BF at O

Step 5 : Using O as center and taking OB / OC as radius draw a circle which intersect perpendicular bisector at I

Step 6 : Using C as center and compass width = 4 cm , cut BC at D

Step 7 : Draw a ray from I , passing through D and intersecting circle at A

Step 8 : Join AB  and AC

ΔABC   is ∠A= 40°  and BC = 5.6 cm   AD is angle bisector and CD = 4 cm
