Given : a triangle  PQR

To Find : Draw a triangle with same area of the triangle  PQR

Solution:

Easiest was is to draw a line parallel to one of the side of triangle passing through opposite vertex ,  Then take any  point on the parallel line as 3 rd vertex keep 2 vertex of the base.

Here we area taking Base QR   and draw line parallel to QR passing through PR

Steps to draw  parallel line

Step 1 : Using suitable compass width taking P as center cut QR at A and B

Step 2 : Using suitable compass width and taking A and B as center  draw arcs intersecting at  X.

Step 3 : Join PX

Step 4 : Draw a right angle  using protractor / set square at X on PX   and draw line  YZ

Take a point S on any where on YZ || QR

Triangle formed QRS  will have same area as PQR.
