Those sediments can be formed from the weathering and erosion of preexisting rocks. Sedimentary rocks also include chemical precipitates, the solid materials left behind after a liquid evaporates. Metamorphic rocks form when the minerals in an existing rock are changed by heat or pressure below the surface

block block mountains are formed due to forces of tension or compression. Owing to the intense tensile force , the Rock strata may break, giving rise to fracture and crack. the broken parts are displaced on either side relative to each other of the the fracture, called a fault. a block of land between two parallel faults may, sometimes, rise up, or the land on either side may, sometimes, slide down below; the upstanding land mass then forms a mountain known as Block Mountain or a Horst. Again when the block of land between two parallel faults sink, the uplands that stand on either side of the downthrown block forms block mountain.
