  1. The two angles should have one common arm.
  2. The two angles should have a common vertex
  3. The other arms of both angles should be on the opposite side of the common arm.

one more condition:

  • The two angles should not have any interior part in common.

Note: ∠BAD and ∠BAC have a common arm and common vertex, but they are not adjacent angles as they don't meet the third condition. For two angles to be adjacent, they should satisfy all three conditions

If two angle satisfy the first three conditions, then they will surely satisfy the forth one, So, three conditions are enough.
